Cost Savings When You Commute by Bike

August 21, 2011 by DeeRidekick

I came across this article today and felt inspired.  So many sites and blogs

Bicycle commuting can be cost-effective and fun!

have taken a look at how much a rider can save by bicycling to work, but I liked this one because the writer is mostly a fair-weather rider.  I think more potential commuters can identify with that approach.  One detail he doesn’t mention is that a company that offers the Bicycle Commuter Benefit through the federal government program can reimburse a bicycle commuter up to $240 per year.  That’s an additional bit of cash earned, not just saved!
